Mothers' Union
At our recent meeting Roz Wright talked to us about Queens Court where she is
the home manager. She has, in fact, been there for the last twenty-one years
and she originally started as a care assistant.
Roz gave us an insight into the many benefits Queens Court has to offer and of the excellent facilities provided in such a comfortable and caring environment. Queens Court is divided into five units (called flats), each of which has its own TV lounge and dining areas; these provide very sociable and popular meeting places for the residents. The Day centre runs for four days a week and provides many activities for day visitors as well as for the residents.
The purpose of Queens Court is to improve the quality of life for older people, to meet their spiritual and other needs; to respect everyone as a unique individual and treat each person with dignity and care. We are certainly very fortunate to have in Bottisham such a great facility as Queens Court with its dedicated staff.
Our Mothers' Union meets in Lode Chapel on the third Thursday of each month at 2.30 p.m. and you would be most welcome to join us. In April our speaker will be Wendy Lovell who will be talking to us about 'Being a Magistrate'.
