Coup de Grass at the Village Hall

POPULAR BLUEGRASS BAND, Coup de Grass, returned to Swaffham Prior on Saturday 19 June for an evening of close harmony vocals, dazzling instrumentals and spontaneous banter; front man, Keith Pearson, surpassed himself by joking with a group of Dutch visitors -in Dutch! The evening started with support from the SPSPs guitar group, Helena Pumfrey on fiddle and Minnie Willmott's lovely singing (shame about the rhythm section, Minnie!); grateful thanks to Andrew Noyes for putting together the supporting acts. Coup de Grass was on sparkling form and greatly appreciated by the capacity audience. Thank you to all who helped on the evening, and those who moved, erected and dismantled the stage before and after; we were delighted to raise just over £300.
