WI Notes
A new year and new beginnings - the first meeting of The Swaffhams WI
(formerly Swaffham Bulbeck and Swaffham Prior) was held on 18th January
in Swaffham Prior Village Hall. It was a lovely evening, starting
appropriately with a champagne toast to our new enlarged institute. The
speaker was Bev Briggs who told us about her work as a personal shopper.
We also learned of her other areas of expertise in sorting out wardrobes
to make the best use of the clothes you have as well as what to buy to
suit shape and colour. It gave us all a lot to think about. The committee
are busy planning the speakers and events for the forthcoming year and
still to come in this year's programme - our next meeting is on
February 15th at 7:30pm when we will hear about Dogs for the disabled from
Andy Lee and Henry. New members are always welcome to our friendly group.
