WI Notes
"LIFE AND CUSTOMS IN JAPAN" was the subject of our June speaker and
what a hilarious talk it turned out to be! Hilary Sugai, a delightful extrovert
and flamboyant character, married a Japanese university professor and lived
with him and his parents in Japan. As a result, there were major culture
shocks, and the couple now live happily, he in Japan, she in the UK! Next month
is our annual garden party, to be held at the home of Jutta Reeks on July 13th
at 7pm. (Note the unusual date and time).
