Eric Burt Day
The Parish Council of Swaffham Prior would like to celebrate the fact that Eric Day has served the Council for over 55 years, the majority as a councillor, but including 17 of those years as clerk.
We are thankful, as indeed all the village should be, for his untiring work to improve village life. He has not only attended virtually every council meeting, but has done a great deal of practical work to maintain the facilities. He regularly volunteers to attend work parties to clear undergrowth, repair play equipment, and indeed help clear the playing field after it had been invaded and had rubbish dumped on it.
We feel proud to have Eric serving on the Council and look forward to Eric continuing his illustrious career with us.
