School News
WE HAD AN ACTION PACKED END to the year at school. The Nativity play performed
by Class 1 and 2 was brilliant. They re-told the traditional Christmas story
through the eyes of the star. Here are some photos, showing part of the
performance Other Christmas festivities included our annual Christmas Fair
which was very well attended. FoSPS organise this event every year, but this
year it was much bigger and better and included our popular CC Cafˇ serving
mulled spiced apple drinks with mince pies. Father Christmas also made a visit
to the school during our Christmas parties on Tuesday 18th December. Our
Christmas Church Service had the theme of Christmas Around the World. We have
had to make a very sad decision this year to close our outdoor swimming pool,
as the repair bill was going to be so huge. However, we feel that the pool is
such a valuable resource for the school and the l o c a l communi ty that we
are retying to raise the money for a new one. It is not going to be
cheap, somewhere in the region of £25,000. We are looking for any local
businesses who would be willing to make a donation towards the cost of a new
pool, or any ideas you may have for fundraising. The pool really does serve our
children and families well, if you feel you can help in any way, please contact
me.
