Bob Smith
BOB SMITH died on Tuesday, 17th July, aged 96. Born in Hilton, Bob lived in Greenhead Road and was a much loved figure in the village, winning the Gay Bulleid Award one year. He did many thoughtful things for his neighbours, including ferrying people to and from Chapel and spreading the gravel up Cage Hill as soon as the first frost arrived. We hope we will be able to publish a tribute in October's issue.
