...when you take your dog for its morning/ evening/midday prowl, consider a stroll through the church-yard. You never know who you might see, but if they claim to be fixing the gutters, don't believe it - see our report later on.

This month sees a new reporter at the PC desk, David Greenfield, and you can read all about the above-board and honourable ways the Crier uses to recruit in his article. Ho yes, the King's Shilling-in-the-tankard trick has nothing on us.. .

Our problem is, we really need new reporters: lots happen in this village, and every month the editors are faced with a choice missing things, or trying to report themselves.

This cannot last. readers, we have enough to do fighting with our new super-improved System Upgrade (many apologies for lateness, poor reproduction, funny margins etc: never again). YOUR HELP IS NEEDED. Any help, even on an occasional basis, would be so much appreciated: please get in touch.

Meanwhile, we hear that teams are queuing up to participate in Tim Doe's Cage Hill Go-Kart competition (soap-box? Isn't that USA?) and that the potential target (how far you can roll from Cage Hill) is - wait for it - the Allix Arms!

August marks the start of the Crier holiday. Before we go, we'd just like to especially thank everyone who have given donations to the Crier this year. These are greatly appreciated!
