Goodbye Gentle Giant
"GENTLE GIANT" DAVID FROST DIED THIS MONTH aged 64 and his funeral was on Friday 9th at St Mary's.
Brought up on Stocks Farm, David worked for the Botanical Gardens and was a well-known and much loved local figure, visiting everyone and often seen about the village where he took an interest in everything that was going on and became known as the "Gentle Giant".
He would have been delighted to know that on the day of his funeral, another gentle giant was waiting for him on the church steps, a gigantic SNOWMAN (the Crier can't find out who built it!) , so gigantic, in fact, that Andrew Camps had to demolish it before the parish funeral bier could come through.
David will be much missed, and we very much hope to learn more about his life in a future issue.
