Mothers' Union News
A MAJOR CHANGE is about to take place in the organisation of the Mothers' Union in the Anglesey Group of Parishes.
From 1st January 2007 the three existing branches - Bottisham, Lode and Swaffham Bulbeck, will merge to form The Anglesey Group Branch. Wyn Norton from Swaffham Bulbeck will become the new Branch Leader, Pauline Lewis from Bottisham will become the new Branch Secretary and Julie Sale from Lode will become the new Branch Treasurer. The Group will meet on the third Thursday of each month in Swaffham Bulbeck School Hall at 2.30pm.
A very interesting programme of events and guest speakers has already been planned for 2007 and the new Branch will be inaugurated at a special service in St. Mary's Church Swaffham Bulbeck on Thursday 18th January at 2.30pm followed by tea.
All those existing members throughout the Benefice are encouraged to join the new branch, and it is hoped that members who used to belong to the previously closed branches at Quy and Swaffham Prior will feel encouraged to join this new group.
We are very keen to attract new members to join, to hear the interesting speakers and to support the work of Mothers Union in its commitment to help families and children worldwide. Do think about joining or re-joining this exciting new venture - you will be very welcome!
