IT IS COMING UP TO THAT TIME OF YEAR when we stretch out a hand of peace to our
neighbours in Swaffham Bulbeck and then pass the time of day beating each other
round the head with a lot of very hard sticks.
Last year there was a bit of a mix-up because many of our newly discovered talent the year before did not turn up - whether through misunderstanding, my having to my bed in mid-December, modesty, fear, I know not. If anyone wishes to play this year do phone me and if you don't I hope to get in touch with you.
As usual the match will take place on Boxing Day Monday, on the Denny at Swaffham Bulbeck, at 11.00am. A very good mulled wine is available at a reasonable charge and there will be a collection for Magpas.
