The Family Link Service needs more carers
As you may know, the Family Link Service offers family-based respite care to
disabled children. All the children live at home with their parents, but
sometimes the parents need a break so we are looking for people who could
welcome a child into their home for one weekend a month, or a few hours a week.
We have many more children waiting for Link care than we have carers to provide this service. We are hoping that, through the Crier, you may be able to help us to get the message across to as many people as possible.
Staff members would be very happy to come to speak to village groups about the Family Link Service in the hope of further raising public awareness of this valuable service.
