The Village Hall Jumble Sale
£424 in 2003 and £408 in 2004. Why the shortfall?!! Simple. There were 27 fewer adults this year and no book dealers. In spite of this everyone did brilliantly. In line with the current fashion, targets were suggested and all were met or exceeded (apart from books which had no dealers - bad luck - not your fault.) So, all in all, a highly successful event which so many people enjoyed. One enthusiastic stall holder was overheard to say as she went home - "I just can't wait for next year." I think that's what she said.
