Notes from the Parish Council December Meeting

Mr Trevor Jones chaired the meeting with 5 members and 1 member of the Public.

Reports:

There was no CCC report this month.

There was no ECDC report this month.

Vehicular access - Coopers: A request had been received for limited access for vehicles from the Green Head Road end of Coopers Lane beyond the staggered barrier currently in place. This was discussed and the Clerk is to contact CCC Highways to confirm the access status of the lane and report to the next meeting.

Pruning/Felling of Trees at Village Car Park: Four estimates were received. It was agreed to instruct Eastern Tree Surgery to carry out the work.

New Play Equipment: The position and type of new equipment was agreed. An application is to be completed and submitted for Lottery funding. This application will cover part of the funding needed. The Parish Council and other groups in the village will also contribute to the costs. The new equipment for the play area will consist of a climbing frame with associated safety surfacing. This will be installed where the seat is at present. This seat will be reposition and a new one added.

The noticeboard in the bus stop has been repaired.

The bus timetable has been moved nearer to the bus stop and up-to-date timetables displayed on both boards.

Open Question Time: There were no questions.

The next Parish Council meeting will be on Thursday, 8th January 2004 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
