Burwell and District Medical Trust
'Charity begins at home'
In our community there is a great fund of goodwill and the Medical Trust was founded to help channel this where there is need. Despite some grumbles our Health Service is amongst the best in the world, but there is always room for improvement and YOU can help!
I understand that at the Burwell Surgery a treatment room is being upgraded and a new operating table costing around £900 is needed This will enable a wider variety of operations to be performed in the Surgery and in many cases rather sooner than in the hospital. Equipment purchased by the Trust remains the property of the trust and is given on "permanent loan" to the organisation or individual.
Next time you have some spare cash please remember the Medical Trust. You could be helping yourself! If you are a tax payer you can sign a "Gift-Aid" form which will add the basic rate tax to your donation.
Please send donations to Mrs Sue Hancocks (Treasurer), 51 Parsonage Lane, Burwell, CB5 0EN. Many thanks to all of you who have supported us in the past.
