Bottisham Community Library Association News

Bottisham Community Library Association is delighted to announce that the official Grand Re-opening Celebration was on Saturday 20th September 2003 at Bottisham Library. A big thank you to all those who have donated books, money or time to help us.

We have been open to the public since 15th July, with our new stock of donated books and 1000 new books from the Library Service. The excellent range of brandnew adult fiction and children's books on our shelves has been a surprise for many borrowers.

Borrowing books from the library is still free, as it always was. You don't need to be a member of the BCLA to borrow books from the library - all you need is your CAMBOOK library card that you used to borrow books from the library before it closed. The only difference you may notice is that the library staff, who are all unpaid volunteers, are not as speedy as the trained staff that we used to have before the closure - we thank you for your patience. We're doing our best!

Donating books for the library: we are still on the lookout for up-to-date (published within the last 5 years) children's reference books and adult and children's fiction published within the last 2 or 3 years.

Opening hours

We are still keeping to the normal library opening hours, (as below) - look for the Bottisham Community Library Open sign outside the Village College:
